Who are we? Our association was founded in 1999 by kindergarten teachers and some professionals of education. One of the foundation members was Katalin Forrai, who was an apprentice of Zoltán Kodály. Presently we have more than 1606 teacher members. Our headquarters are located in Szolnok, Hungary.

What are we doing? Member teachers of the association, through the program of “Kindergarten education with artistic instruments” by Ms. Jenőné Nagy (1996), are applying different areas of arts – drama, dance, crafts, drawing, painting – with emphasis on music by the Kodály approach in the child’s development.

Who do we teach using the Kodály approach? Infants and toddlers, nursery school children, pre-schoolers, primary school students and their educators.

Where do we work? In more than 286 Kindergartens in Hungary and abroad.

Where do we meet? At yearly conferences, organized by the association, with topics covering the whole area of early childhood development, giving special attention to music.
